Volunteer With Us!

Why Volunteer With Foothills Conservancy?
Volunteering engages you in the work of stewarding natural spaces. Every time you volunteer you are helping build local communities that value conservation!

What Volunteers Do:
Trail Maintenance, Planting Trees, NC Native Gardening, Litter Cleanups, Invasive Plant Removal, Streambank Repair, Office Work, Fundraising Events, Educational Events

Community Trail Workdays is a partnership, among local trail maintenance groups* developed to increase our collective capacity to steward public trails in Burke County, NC. Every trail needs regular maintenance, which is mostly done by volunteers. If you don’t know anything about trail work, this is your chance to get involved! Training, tools, snacks, and giveaways are available at all events.
