On Saturday, April 13, Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina will host a meet and greet at Newgrass Brewing Co. in uptown Shelby from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Attendees will learn about Foothills Conservancy’s land and water conservation in the foothills of Western North Carolina from conservancy staff while enjoying craft beer from Newgrass Brewing Co. and live music. Participants can enter to win raffle prizes donated by Newgrass Brewing Co. and Foothills Conservancy.
“We are thrilled to host Foothills Conservancy for this event,” said Brady Norman, front of house manager for Newgrass Brewing Co. “They do great work across our region, including here in Cleveland County and our community will benefit from learning more about it. We’re pleased to begin this new partnership!”
Foothills Conservancy serves eight counties and Shelby, in Cleveland County, is the conservancy’s southernmost service area. The conservancy currently holds two agricultural conservation easements in Cleveland County, totaling 316 acres, and hopes to expand its conservation work in the area.
