On Saturday, May 4, Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina will host a meet and greet at Fonta Flora Brewery at Whippoorwill Farm in Nebo from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Attendees will learn from staff about Foothills Conservancy’s land and water conservation efforts that take place in the foothills of Western North Carolina – all while enjoying craft beer in the viewshed of Shortoff Mountain and conservancy-protected land. The first 100 attendees will receive a special gift courtesy of Foothills Conservancy.
During the event, the brewery will host a Wisteria Southern Gastropub pop-up and serve popular items from their menu like hamburgers and sides. Current brewer and former head chef at Wisteria, Obie Ferguson, will prepare food starting at noon, and these items will be available while supplies last. The brewery recently announced permanent food service at their Whippoorwill Farm location, with the goal of providing locally sourced dishes alongside their craft beer.
