2014

The year began with the acquisition of a third conservancy preserve, Smith Cliffs/Henry Fork River Preserve,in Burke County that protects an exceptional state natural area. The conservancy also acquired a 54-acre property adjoining Pisgah National Forest in McDowell County for later transfer to the U.S. Forest Service.
