Rock Hill Cemetery Restoration

Rock Hill African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church was established around 1865 in what was then the thriving agricultural community of Fonta Flora and is now part of Lake James State Park. The church is no longer standing, but its footprint can still be seen by rows of weathered head stones. Together, with the help of Lake James State Park, passionate community members and groups are working together to restore and preserve this important piece of history.
