Volunteer Workday: Tree Tube Installation

  • Oak Hill Community Park and Forest 820 NC-126 Morganton United States (map)

The Purpose: Volunteers are needed to help assemble 2,000 tree tubes as part of Foothills Conservancy's efforts to reforest a clear cut area at Oak Hill Community Park and Forest, in Morganton, NC.  We will be hosting several workdays throughout April to accomplish building the tubes and installing them around native hardwoods on site.

The Plan: We will meet at the parking area at Oak Hill park and carpool to the tree planting site. Volunteers will be given a bucket of supplies to install tubes around tree seedlings. All ages are welcome. Snacks and lunch will be provided. No bathrooms on site.
