Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina Expands Staff

Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina is pleased to announce that it is growing its staff to provide additional communications, financial and administrative support.To increase its team’s administrative and communications capacities, the conservancy is seeking a full-time communications and outreach associate, a part-time staff accountant and a part-time office administrator. Now in its twenty-second year, the nationally accredited, non-profit land trust has protected more than 50,000 acres across its eight-county Blue Ridge Mountains and foothills region, including more than 3,500 acres of conservation easement lands and more than 4,000 acres of conservancy-owned preserves.“With these hires we are adding a new communications position and two part-time staff,” says Susie Hamrick Jones, the conservancy’s executive director. “It is exciting to see what began as an all-volunteer organization more than 20 years ago continue to expand to better protect and conserve the lands and waters in our region.”Descriptions and details for each position are available at foothillsconservancy.org/jobs/.
